The legacy that started with

$200 at LaGuardia

our sTORY

1985: THE WELCOME
Seung Baik, a South Korean moved to  the US with hopes of a better life. A college dropout who barely spoke English, he took his family’s life savings and flew into LaGuardia airport where he received a true American welcome...

Within mere minutes of stepping into the terminal, he was ambushed by pickpockets who stole $400 of his family's $600.

1990s-2010s: THE GRIND
In defiance of that first day, Seung worked tirelessly for 30 years – 15 hour days, 363 days a year - to build a small business in central NJ selling men’s clothing.

To show his patriotism, Seung promoted his store as "U.S. World". Legally though he named his entity Two Jay Inc. in honor of his sons, Jason and Justin.

2021: A NEW START
Jason Baik founded 2J Capital, a capital group with the sole goal of helping others find the financial freedom his family always sought. While 2JC does not dabble in men's clothing, Two Jay Inc.'s legacy continues to live on through 2J Capital.

PRESENT
Two Jay ceased operations in 2016 but Seung continues to work 60 hour weeks. Today, Jason has two focuses:
1) continuing to add key partners to the 2JC team
2) finding the leverage needed to convince Seung to retire

He started investing in single-family homes before transitioning into multifamily full-time in 2021.

Jason is a lifelong "gamifier" and has dabbled in everything from poker and chess to Mario Kart and stocks.

Despite the grueling hours over many decades, my dad's never lost his sense of humor and fun.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

While 2J Capital embodies Seung’s work ethic, we strive to give others the opportunities he never had. We work to grow the hard-earned capital of our investors and provide truly passive returns so that you may focus on what's truly important: time with loved ones.

Equally important, Seung lost his business due to the uncontrollable housing recession of 2008 - we aim to protect others from suffering similar fates. Though we don't have crystal balls, we use a deep love of data to calculate & mitigate risk to the best of our abilities.
